Godwin Cabinet Shop, Inc has been operating in Camden since 1965. The first shop was a small building in my
father's backyard. He would take on any type of woodworking project that was offered. From remodeling houses
to building bodies for cotton wagons, it all helped pay the bills! Unlike today, there were no computers to design
his projects. In 1971, we moved to our current location on US Highway #1. With an emphasis on quality work
and customer satisfaction, our business has continued to grow. We now use the latest technology to design and
build cabinets for customers throughout the Southeast. Though most of our work is done within a 50 mile radius
of Camden, our work has taken us as far South as Homestead, Florida, and as far North as Belle Meade, New
Jersey. We have truly been blessed! We may have advanced with the times, but we are still a customer oriented,
family owned and operated company.

How Do We Do It?
All of our cabinets are built in our shop in Camden, South Carolina. The process begins with your ideas that are
transformed into a computer design. You can see what your "dreams" will look like before they are created.
Once you have decided on the layout you prefer, the process moves into the shop where we use the latest CNC
machinery to cutout and assemble your cabinets. Only select hardwoods that are kiln dried and processed by
trusted and dependable mills are used in our shop. Cherry, oak, mahogany, maple and poplar are just a few of the
more popular species we use. All of our cabinet boxes are constructed with 3/4" birch plywood. Our drawer boxes
are built with 1/2" baltic birch and our face frames are all solid hardwood. There is no particle board in our
cabinets! We use full extension runners on all of our drawers to assure that they will operate as well tomorrow as
they do today. The hinges are all fully concealed and self-closing. Our purpose is to give our customers a product
that will remain functional and beautiful well into the future. Remember, If You Can Dream It, We Can Build It!
